Today we visited the woods to look for signs of Spring. We spotted some daffodils and bud bursts but sadly no frog spawn. We also saw lots and LOTS of mud! Photographs to follow.
We have been learning to count in tens in Maths. We have been using this video to chant and count. Why not have a go at counting 10p coins at home? We certainly are busy - we can't quite believe that it is already mid March and this is the first post of the month! The number of times we've said "We must blog about that" - so here goes a mammoth post about everything we've been up to! Firstly we've been revising take away - thank you to everyone who completed the home learning that we sent. We have been encouraging the children to record their own jottings to help them work out the answers to their calculations. We have spent the last few weeks reading Jack and the Beanstalk. We've engaged in lots of bean related activities, including eating beans on toast, measuring beanstalks and building them, designing and creating castles and planting our very own bean plants. We also visited the ICT Suite and practiced our mouse skills drawing parts of the story. We have also had World Book day - thank you to everyone for the fantastic efforts with costumes!
