We are starting to learn about Winter as the weather has changed. The children have been investigating the frost and observing how water changes as the temperature drops. We will continue to learn about winter changes, cold climates and winter celebrations.
Today we have sent home information about your child's role in the Nativity. Please check their book bags.
We will be doing lots of practising in school, developing confidence on the stage and encouraging children to use their 'big voices'. Our performances are on Thursday 15th December @ 2.15 and Friday 16th December @ 9.15. Tickets are available from school for £1. If you return your slip, tickets will be sent home in book bags. We look forward to seeing you there! This week we have been learning about the festival of Diwali. We have learnt stories, made rangoli patterns and tried Indian food to mention a few of activities done this week. Why not ask your child to tell you the story of Rama and Sita?
We are going to carry on with this topic next week, making clay diva lamps and coconut sweets. Last week we used all of your fantastic donations to make up six Boxes of Hope. We also sent any left over items with Mrs Thomas Woodhouse to be used in the warehouse. We talked with the children about where the boxes would be going and though about other people that are less fortunate than ourselves. We also spent some time learning about Remembrance Day and observed the two minute silence together in the classroom.
