On Friday, as part of our Paraolympic Week, Reception took part in a wheelchair basketball session. What a fabulous time we had! The children were brilliant and had a great time learning how to steer a wheelchair and shoot a basket.
Lunch time have been running smoothly and the children have really been enjoying staying for dinner. Here are some photographs showing what we do in the hall. Last week was 'Great Artist Week'. The whole school was involved in researching and creating pieces of art inspired by some of the world's greatest artists. In Reception, our artist was Piet Mondrian. We learnt about the primary colours and had a go at creating our own Mondrian style paintings. We also did some collaging. The children continue to settle well and are getting used to the new routines. They are making friends and getting used to what is expected when they are at school. Thank you for your continued support - please call in if you have any questions or concerns.
Last week we did some PE. We all managed really well putting on our PE kit and getting changed back into our uniform. We encourage the children to be as independent as possible so please keep practising dressing and undressing at home. Welcome to our Foundation Stage Blog. We try and update the site regularly with things that we have been doing during the school day. It can be a good idea to have a look with your child and talk about what they have been doing and the friends they have made. Here are some photographs from our first few days!
