We have been so busy since we've come back after the holidays - we can hardly believe it's only been a week!
We have been reading Little Red Riding Hood and had great fun acting out the story and creating our own story maps.

We have also been continuing to develop our understanding of place value in maths. We have been partitioning numbers into tens and ones using Numicon and Base 10 equipment. We have been learning the song 'Numbers in the teens have a group of ten'.
We also made cakes like Mummy did for Grandma and iced them. In an alternative version of Little Red Riding Hood called 'Little Red', the little boy in a red coat rescues Grandma by giving the wolf some ginger beer. We decided to try some ginger beer with our cakes. Yum!
