You may have already heard about our class pet but we thought we'd better give him an official introduction! Meet Bob the bearded dragon ....
The children are loving watching him in his vivarium. He doesn't move about a lot but we are very patient and spend lots of time watching him move his eyes and head. Sometimes he even sticks his tongue out! We had a particularly exciting day today when he ate a cricket (or hopper) that we had put in for his lunch!
Bob also likes to eat worms and various fruits and vegetables. We have been trying him with some of our snack - apples have been his favourite so far!
We are looking forward to getting him out soon so that we can have a closer look at him and learn more about looking after him. We know not to touch the vivarium and that we need to be quiet when we are around him. Some children decided to make signs and drawings to tell people about him and how to look after him.
